2024 TINMAN JOBURG SERIES

The 2024 Joburg TINMAN Series will be hosted at Prime View. There will be 4 events during the year so  mark your calender  and odn’t miss out! PRIME VIEW! (https://prime-view.co.za/)

— Merchandise orders with your entry close on Monday,21 October 2024 at midnight. 

— Online entry portal closes on Thursday, 24 October 2024 at midnight.

— Challenge Tri / Duathlon / Teams are NON-DRAFTING. All the other distances are draft legal.  

2024 SERIES RACE DATES: 

• 17^th March  – PRIME VIEW
• 7^th  APRIL – PRIME VIEW
• 29^th SEPTEMBER – PRIME VIEW
• 27^th OCTOBER – PRIME VIEW

The TinMan series is the oldest running triathlon series in South Africa, having started in Durban in 1999. Now a national Series, with events in Joburg, the Cape and KZN, this is one Series you can’t miss out on. The National Tinman Series is a popular family orientated series that includes 3 Triathlon events on the day as well as a 5km fun run race and a Duathlon (Run / Cycle / Run)

Come join us in 2024, enter the first one and watch how your fitness and racing improves during the year!

Events:

• 5km Fun Run (Timed event but no prizes or prize money)
• Mini Tri (200m Swim / 5km Cycle / 2.5km Run) Min Age: 8yrs
• Super Sprint Tri (400m Swim / 10km Cycle / 2.5km Run) Min Age: 12yrs
• Sprint Tri (600m Swim / 20km Cycle / 5km Run) Min Age: 16yrs
• Sprint RELAY TEAM (600m Swim / 20km Cycle / 5km Run) Min Age: 16yrs
• Challenge Tri (1.2km Swim / 30km Cycle  / 10km Run) Min Age: 18yrs
• Challenge RELAY TEAM (1.2km Swim / 30km Cycle / 10km Run) – 3.5hr cut off
• Challenge Duathlon (10km Run / 30km Cycle / 5km Run) 18yrs up – 3.5hr cut off

Registration Venue: Prime View Adventure and Leisure (https://prime-view.co.za/)

Registration Times: 

• 5km Fun Run / Challenge Duathlon & Challenge Tri:  5:45am to 7am
• Sprint Tri/ Sprint Teams : 6:30am to 7:30am
• Mini Tri/ Super Sprint: 6:30am to 7:30am

Bike Racking will be at the same time as registration. Once you register, you enter the transition directly from registration – secure area. 

START TIMES:

• 7am: 5km Run & Challenge Triathlon & Duathlon
• 7:40am: Sprint Triathlon
• 8:15am: Mini / Super Sprint Triathlon

Also included is an awesome safe fun family event, Finishers medals or similar and an ice cold aQuelle as well as Lucky draw prizes and Winners prizes.

TSA: All athletes must either have an annual TSA licence or purchase a Temporary TSA Licence which will be valid for the event only. 

CYCLING will be on the road

RUNNING will be Offroad on Gravel roads.

Road Bikes and MTB Bikes only allowed. (Draft legal event)

ENTRIES CLOSE THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BEFORE EACH EVENT.

MERCHANDISE ORDERS CLOSE THE MONDAY OF RACE WEEK. COLLECTION AT REGISTRATION
