Saldanha Bay is named after Antonio De Saldanha, captain of a vessel in Alburquerque’s fleet which visited South Africa in 1503. Saldanha is a natural harbour on the south-western coast of South Africa and is located about 105km from Cape Town.
On the long weekend of the 15th to the 17th of June the team of Onsite Events will be hosting their 2nd Half Marathon on Saturday the 15th.

Saturday the 15th – 5km, 10km and 21.1km
5km – Start – 8:45 – R100 – Fun Run / Walk
10km – Start – 8:30 – Licensed Athletes R145 / Unlicensed Athletes R195 – Some gravel road sections included.
21.1km – Start – 8:00 – Licensed Athletes R195 / Unlicensed Athletes R255 – Some gravel road sections included.
Over 70’s Free – Only the R50 license fee for the 10km and R60 for the 21.1km
Registration at the White City Multipurpose Sports Center on Friday the 14th between 5pm and 7pm or on the morning of the event from 6:30am.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes on all distances for male and female.
Start and finish is at the White City Multipurpose Sports Center.
Waterpoints on route. Thank you Talisman Hire, Saldanha Bay Hotel, RealNet West Coast, Spar Saldanha, Transnet and Freek Properties who will each do a waterpoint for us.
It is always advisable to make sure that you have your own hydration as well especially on the longer distances.

Rules:
Timing by Bouttime. Temporary timing chip will be handed to you at registration. Please hand this number back at the finish-line. Your tag will be scanned manually at the finish-line.
No littering
We will host a Trail Run on Sunday the 16th. Venue to be confirmed. 5km, 10km and 17km.
