Mid-Year Trail Run @ Muratie

Yes, we’re half way through 2024 already!

Have you stayed fit for the first six months of the year?  Well, keep on going or start all over…

Muratie is the base for some of the most beautiful trail systems in the Western Cape at the foot of Simonsberg. Routes are changed up for some entertaining singletrack running.

VENUE: Muratie wine estate, Knorhoek Road, R44 between Stellenbosch & Klapmuts

COST: Pre entries closing 28 June midnight.

Pre-entry fees:

6km – R145, 11km – R175

Timing by Amarider Trail Tag – available for rent (R20) or to buy (R100) at registration.

ROUTE DESCRIPTIONS: With a rich history, this charming wine farm is nestled on the foot of the Simonsberg that gives us access to special hand-built singletrack trails. Climbing just above the cellar, with various trails bringing you back to the finish.

GENERAL INFO:  Pre-entries will receive discount and the first 250 online entries will receive a special event medal. The rest get a generic Dirtopia medal.

Coke to all finishers plus PVM Nutrition will be at the start/finish with energybars, gels and pre & post hydration options – free sampling.

A refreshment station on both routes with Powerade, oranges & cold water will keep runners hydrated.

Ultimate Performance will be there with massages on offer after the run.

Prizes to the winners plus lucky draws which includes wine from the estate, Sportsmans Warehouse vouchers and FALKE socks. Coffee & ‘grab n go meals’ will be for sale from early morning. If you’d like a sit-down meal at the Farm kitchen, please book a table at Muraties’ Farm Kitchen.
