Entries are now open for the popular Irene Ultra, a Comrades Marathon qualifier, taking place on Sunday, 23 March 2025. Please note, our regular date has moved two weeks earlier due to a scheduling conflict with the Two Oceans Marathon. Don’t miss this special race!
Why Choose the Irene Ultra?
– ComradesMarathon Qualifier: Qualify with a time of 5:50 for 48 km—the same time standard as a 50 km, but with 2 km less to run! Use it to qualify or improve your seeding.
– Great Format: Following positive feedback, we’ll continue the two-lap course, giving you a chance to pass your club tent for extra support.
– Bonus Timing Mat: A timing mat at the 42.2 km mark allows your marathon time to count if you complete the 48 km – a win-win!
