The 2025 TINMAN Joburg Series continues a legacy of exhilarating multi-sport events at prime View, Johannesburg, South Africa, showcasing the thrill of triathlon, duathlon, and running.

Originating as a small triathlon challenge in Durban in 1999, The TINMAN Series has grown into an nationally celebrated series, becoming a household name and attracting both elite athletes and passionate amateurs.

The event’s history is rooted in its accessible format, allowing athletes of all levels to compete across age groups and disciplines. Known for its high-energy atmosphere, challenging courses, and enthusiastic crowds, the 2025 series promises intense competition and camaraderie.

Participants and spectators alike relish the adrenaline, scenic urban backdrops, and sense of achievement that define TINMAN – Do you Have Heart?

EVENTS TO ENTER:

  1. Mini Tri (200m Swim / 6km Cycle / 2.5km Run) 8yrs  up
  2. Super Sprint Tri (400m Swim / 10km Cycle / 2.5km Run) 12yrs up
  3. Sprint Tri & Relay Tri (750m Swim / 20km Cycle / 5km Run) 16yrs up – Cut off 2hrs 45
  4. Sprint Duathlon (5km Run / 20km Cycle / 2.5km Run) 16yrs up – 3hr cut off
  5. Challenge Tri & Relay Tri (1.2km Swim / 40km Cycle /10km Run) 18yrs up – Cut off 3hr50

Registration Venue: Prime View Adventure and Leisure (https://prime-view.co.za/)

Registration on Sunday (Race Day) morning: 5:45am to 7am at PRIME VIEW.

START TIMES: To be confirmed on final race info. Final Race information will be sent out via email to all paid entrants on the Friday before race weekend.

Triathlon Licences: All athletes must either have an annual TSA licence or purchase a Temporary TSA DAY Licence which will be valid for the event only.

  • Swimming will be in the Dam
  • CYCLING will be on the road
  • RUNNING will be Offroad on Gravel roads.

— Online entry portal closes on Thursday prior to each event at midnight.

— Challenge Tri / Du / Teams are NON-DRAFTING. The other distances are draft legal.
